Rainbow Bridge: Am/Can CH UKC GRCH BIMBS Lira's Giverny Am/Can UKC CDX "Gena"

Sire: Woodhue Lire Quiet Applause CD X Brynmere's Annisette Breeder: Sharon Schutte and Nancy Heinrich, Owner: Nancy Heinrich 4/13/1995 to 10/2010

Gena "Jelly Beans" and I were able to spend our last afternoon together soaking up the final warm rays of a beautiful October Indian Summer day and for that wonderful memory of this special girl. I am very grateful. Gena was my first homebred litter, with many thanks to Sharon Schutte who engineered the breeding. Gena was my first AKC Champion, completely breeder-owner-handled whose career included several Canadian group placements, the weekend of a lifetime when she finished her AKC championship AND won TWO Group 2's!! She also went Best in Multi Breed Show over 100+ at a UKC show in 1999..an incredible experience. Even at 15 1/2 years old she would still stand with her head held proudly on a nicely arched neck w/ that strong, level back. While Gena also earned 10 CDX legs in only 17 tries( which is great considering my 80 hour work weeks) and Open A normally has a 30% pass rate.. she always let ringside know that dumbell picking up was beneath her. Try as I might to interest her in herding and earn a CH-VC Gena would look at me with utter patience as if to say "Ah Mom...don't you SEE the crown on my head.. AH.. Princess here " lol. Gena was sweet, loving and a great CPX (Couch Potato extrodinaire). Her quiet demeanor will be missed here. Sleep well Princess.. thank you for sharing your Life's Journey with me. Nancy H.
